Firefly- The Everfree Forest

Woo I finally finished my drawing of Firefly! I used my AMAZING prismacolor colored pencils (which I will never stop drooling over) and I probably spent atleast 3 hours on. I was coloring her and I was like "This seems a bit blank. Let's add a background!" and then I could combine the one where she was in the everfree forest and I made THIS!! I tried making a more realistic take on the everfree forest. It was a challenge but really fun! Sadly, the scanner made it a bit dark around the edges. But I actually think this improved the look of the drawing, as I was trying to make it lightest around Firefly.

Now, get ready for some serious backstory time!

So, Firefly. She has the cutie mark of a firefly, original, I know. She has a very laid back personality and could be called a bit of a hippy. Her cutie mark represents how she wants to be the light in the dark, making the world a better place and such. She always tries to help anyone and be forgiving to her enemies, although it's pretty hard to be enemies with her! Sometimes her relaxed tone gets her into trouble, or makes her oblivous to things that could be obvious to some ponies. One thing she LOVES to do is to go to the everfree forest and watch the fireflies. She has a special memory of her parents taking her out to go see them- she doesn't remember much of them, but does know they passed a while ago. Sometimes she even flies with the fireflies, as seen in this illustration. She's not afraid of much and tries to befriend. Sadly, that's where she gets landed into trouble. She could see a wild pack of Timber wolves and go, "Would you like to watch the fireflies with me?" And when they simply growl she flies away; more like floats. She doesn't like to zoom around like Rainbow Dash. She prefers to follow the fireflies or move where the wind takes her.
