Charcoal Owl- My first ever commish!

Okay, so this is a GIANT charcoal drawing 14 by 17 inches. So sorry for the crappy photo but it sure as heck wasn't going to fit in my scanner -.- also the lovely reference I used is this: [link]

So, anyways, my first commish! IRL! So one of my kinda-guy friends (very new) was like "Hey, you're a really good drawer, . I want a darwing of an owl for my sister for christmas. If it's really good, I'll give like $5." and I'm like "SURE!!" I mean, usually I'd just give out drawings or paintings as gifts, but now I'm getting MONEY for it! and it's good practice and fun! and getting paid for it? awesome! (even if it's only five bucks ) Honestly I am super duper proud of this!! It's the most beautiful thing I've ever made. The picture really doesn't show detail. I wish you could all see this in person!

I'm soo proud of this. Tell me what you think! I think I'll make a series of charcoal barn owls xD they're so fun! and there are 2 other really good stock pics I want to use as references. I'll use grids again- this is how I made it in proportion and fit on the paper. It really helps! Tell me what you think or what I could fix. Also if you're interested I have some more detailed bits and peices if anyone's interested in seeing it.
